 ‘Alight Upon the Lake: Live at the Jazz Showcase’ is a previously unissued recording of woodwind multi-instrumentalist icon Yusef Lateef featuring pianist Kenny Barron, bassist Bob Cunningham and drummer Albert ‘Tootie’ Heath, captured live at Joe Segal’s Jazz Showcase in Chicago in June 1975.
 The 3CD set was mastered from the original tapes by engineer Matthew Lutthans.
