The album features an array of talent; Emma Pollock (The Delgados), Louis Abbott (Admiral Fallow), Adam Scott (Album Club), John Rooney (Starry Skies), uber fddler John McCusker, cellist Pete Harvey and Swedish multi- instrumentalist Gustaf Ljunggren. The album is inspired by the experiences of women; "I immersed myself in the life stories of some incredible women, not just to share them with others, but to connect with them myself. Xan Tyler got her start in music as a teenager, in her native South London working as a backing singer for Death Bang Party before getting her big break with Creation Records as half of electro-pop duo Technique. She has collaborated with the likes of Timo Mass, Martin Buttrich, Mad Professor and more throughout her rich career. Now living and working in Scotland, Xan frequently performs live, she will perform at the LNFG weekend at Glasgow University in April alongside Starless, BMX Bandits, Billy Reeves, wojtek the bear and more.
