A key figure in the development of the Detroit techno sound of the 1980s, DJ Maestro started out mixing & scratching records with the Electrifying Mojo on WJLB (Detroit) in 1984. It was there that he met the Godfather of Techno, Juan Atkins, who introduced him to emerging new sounds of dance & party music. “It’s Me” gives pure diva nostalgia summoning the spirits of Crystal Waters and CeCe Peniston.
