 Critically acclaimed Dutch act Weval (AKA Harm Coolen and Merijn Scholte Albers) arrive on Ninja Tune’s Technicolour imprint with their new EP, ‘Changed For The Better’.
 The duo hail from Amsterdam, where they have been cultivating a unique sound that balances club-ready electronic funk, emotive synth arrangements and distorted drums with bold, beautifully composed melodies and songwriting.
 The duo recently embarked on a mission to rediscover themselves and what truly drives them, in a process of liberation from selfimposed constraints. Their creative process was reinvigorated with an uninhibited approach and ‘Changed For The Better’ represents Weval unfiltered, accepting themselves for who they truly are. It’s sincere and heartfelt and unashamedly positive.
 For fans of Bonobo, Four Tet, Floating Points, Caribou, Kelly Lee Owens, DJ Seinfeld, Jayda G, Peggy Gou.
 12” 140g vinyl in a black paper inner sleeve housed in an artworked 3mm spined outer sleeve. Artwork by Vasjen Katro.
 Weval have a forthcoming 15 date European tour planned throughout Europe in Autumn 2021, including huge shows at Amsterdam Dance Event (NL) and Reeperbahn Festival (DE). As part of ADE, Weval will collaborate with Metropole Orkest at Melkweg (Metropole Orkest have shared the stage with artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, Brian Eno, Herbie Hancock, Basement Jaxx, Robert Glasper and Gregory Porter).
 Previous festival appearances include Primavera, Nuits Sonores, Lowlands, Best Kept Secret, Pukkelpop, Lightning in a Bottle, Rock en Seine, DGTL Amsterdam, Gottwood and many more.
