The seventeenth edition of Hospital Records exclusive ‘Classic Symptoms’ series sees four originals from the label’s celebratory 25th anniversary compilation ‘ H25PITAL’ pressed to an extremely limited vinyl run.
First up is Etherwood’s ‘The Time Is Here At Last’ featuring powerhouse d&b duo Hybrid Minds. Initially released on his self-titled debut album ‘Etherwood’ on Med School back in 2013, the track has been remixed by Mitekiss for Hospital Records’ 25th-anniversary compilation. Featuring Etherwood’s own vocals and guitar playing, this is a timeless liquid drum & bass classic.
Syncopix’s loungecore anthem ‘Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy’ renowned for its euphoric strings and chugging drumwork was originally released on the ‘Weapons Of Mass Creation’ compilation 17 years ago, Bristol-based DJ & producer Euphonique gave it the remix treatment as part of the ‘H25PITAL’ release earlier this year.
Nu:Logic (Nu:Tone & Logistics) head up the B-side with their legendary ‘New Technique’ released in 2010. Garnering DJ support from the likes of Fabio, High Contrast, Danny Byrd and London Elektricity over the years and a remix from former Hospital Records Women In Drum & Bass mentee Stay-C.
Blame steps up with his infamous ‘Hindsight’ taken from ‘The Friendly Fire’ EP which first hit the shelves in 2008. Championed by High Contrast in his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and was also remixed by the legendary DJ Marky as part of Hospital’s quarter-century celebrations.
Don’t sleep on securing your extremely limited press of four Hospital classics. One for the serious collectors - once they’re gone, they’re gone.
