Venerated LA-based techno veteran Truncate is back on his self-title label with more brilliantly propulsive cuts. 'Forgotten' is a driving sound with an eerie synth lead that very much keeps you full of anxiety as the glitchy claps and hefty kicks motor on. 'The Trip' pairs more uneven, screeching synth motifs with supple bells and another warm, enveloping low end that is full of power but also deep allure. 'Nebula' ramps up the pressure with some mind-melting synth intricacies that throw it back to classic Jeff Mills but with an updated edge.
