A WELCOME RETURN TO THE ACE CATALOGUE THIS NOVEMBER * Explores the odd gap between the Chocolate Watchband's raw live power and their more manipulated studio recordings * Producer Ed Cobb layered studio trickery onto their sound without the band's knowledge or consent, creating a stranger, more experimental legacy * Collects their complete 1965-69 recordings in one remastered 2CD set * Clearly separates true Watchband tracks - the grinding 1966 lineup fronted by David Aguilar - from substituted or uncredited material on their LPs * Booklet features commentary from all band members and a rare interview with the late Ed Cobb
