The third album from Talking Heads, 1979’s Fear of Music, is the bridge between the angular art rock of the Heads' early work and the P-Funk-inspired modalism of their early-'80s output. Fear of Music is more than just a bridge, though. It's the water under the bridge, the air, the animals, the cities the river flows through, and the heaven on top of it all: "...a place where nothing ever happens."
 
This Super Deluxe Edition expands upon the original album  featuring rare studio outtakes and alternate versions as well two previously unreleased in full complete shows from the Fear of Music tour recorded at Berklee Performance Center in Boston, Massachusetts on August 24, 1979 and Capitol Theater in Passaic, New Jersey on November 17, 1979.
 
The CD format includes a blu-ray disc featuring Dolby Atmos, 5.1 and Hi-Res Stereo Mixes as well as rare film footage of the band performing on the Old Grey Whistle Test in 1979.
