Andy Scott once again succeeded in putting together a top-class line-up, consisting of Mal McNulty (Slade), Bodo Schopf (Eloy/MSG) and Steve Mann (MSG/Lionheart). With ‘The Answer’, Sweet managed to reinvent themselves without losing sight of their roots. The songs feature timeless hard rock with metal influences, yet always remain unmistakably Sweet. The album is regarded as a genuine, long-overlooked gem in the band’s discography.
