Back once again with a third platter of distinctive and delicious drum-laden treats straight from the jungle, Skins' third offering in the Sauce Direct series is another feast of fiery flavours crafted from the freshest ingredients. For the uninitiated, this is a menu which blends canonical beat science with innovation in Skins' own signature style.
 
'357' bursts into life with expansive synthesis, serving nostalgia on a base of deconstructed Amens alongside a generous dose of low end theory. The second course, 'Burnin Up' provides similarly delectable drum work, opening up into emotive pads and succulent vocal chops that just won't quit.
 
On the flip, 'Heat Seeker' is a feverish frenzy of breakbeats and dense jungle atmospherics, building you up to a crescendo of soaring synth leads which sit somewhere between The Prodigy and Daft Punk. It's a bumpy ride inspired by a classic 80s film, and for those seeking the provenance of the vocal sample, the clue's in the name.
