Skinny Living's story is one of struggle, troubling situations and relentless hard graft

It's also one of synchronicity, chance meetings, and the unfinching belief that their glorious indie soul music will reach the audience it deserves.

"Skinny Living is a term that describes the fnancial reality and lifestyle of the working class. Hard graft on a low income with a lust for life, passion for family and an optimistic attitude about the future."

The band's sound is defned by two acoustic guitars and vocal harmonies delivered by Wakefeld natives Will Booth and Danny Hepworth, while the exquisite and ever- so- slightly haunted vocal and lyricism in the midst of it all belongs to frontman Ryan Johnston, born in Belfast to a Catholic mother from the Republican area and a Protestant father from the other side of town. Their polar opposite backgrounds meant a family move to Bangor before Ryan later moved to England, where he met Will and Danny at an open mic night and formed the band.

With over 85 million streams worldwide, the band has recently announced the release of their long-awaited debut album 'Day By Day'.

"'Day by Day' moves through the emotions of life. Lyrically, it shines a light on relationships between family and close friends, those we dedicate our care and time to. It deals with the triumphs and mistakes we make along the way and focuses on the power we all have as individuals to pull through when times get hard, both alone and together."

Their last release, the 'Acoustic Soul' (EP), saw one of their singles, 'Never Say Die', charting Top 5 in three of the ofcial single's featured charts.

They have toured with and supported Noah Kahan , Gabrielle , McFly , Kaiser Chiefs , Calum Scott , Razorlight , Busted (this summer), James Arthur (this summer), Jake Bugg, Justin Bieber and Olly Murs, and have had artists including Lewis Capaldi, Celeste and Rachel Chinouriri support them who have then gone on to have great success.

They have played Isle Of Wight Festival, Kendal Calling, The Great Escape, Bestival, Barn On The Farm, Tramlines, British Summertime, Live At Leeds, and will be playing App Fest, Stendhal Festival, Forest Fest and more this summer.

With more than 40 shows last year across the UK & Ireland, most of them sold-out acoustic headlines, their upcoming full-band tour will take them to 16 cities across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Ireland, including Islington Assembly Hall (890 cap) in London, Uls
