 ‘LUSHLAND’ is the debut album from R&B artist Silas Short, out on Stones Throw.
 ‘LUSHLAND’ is a late night drive through heartbreak, fear of failure and life in a brand new city. The album is filled with soulful songs rooted in 1980s and 90s R&B, informed by Silas’s years of playing in gospel bands with his father and an early education in hip-hop, funk and neo-soul.
 ‘LUSHLAND’ follows Silas’s 2021 debut EP ‘Drawing’, which was acclaimed by NPR, Wonderland, CLASH and The Line of Best Fit, among others.
 Eye-catching and unique vinyl artwork by Matt de Jong.
 Players / producers on the album include James Poyser of The Roots, Luke Titus, Ryan James Carr and Charlie Coffeen.
 Silas has opened for the likes of Benny Sings, Blackwave, Mndsgn, The Walters, Zahara, Jitwam and Kaina, and plans to tour UK / EU by end of 2025.
 His cover of ‘My Conversation’ is included in the feature film ‘A Real Pain’ with Kieran Culkin and Jesse Eisenberg, out November 2024.
