Satoshi Tomiie brings new flash-welded heft on 'Subtract Infinity Part 1', opening a planned trilogy on the Dubwax arm with a rattling-back to stripped-down dub techno programmetry. Long tied to house lineage but entering deeper, purer and more reductionist zones in recent times, Tomiie pares it right back here - 'Dub Not Dub' and 'Wax Dub' on weight and space, chords feathered in and out like wetted down, and 'R02' clinching on a colder, more dissolved note.
