The late, great, troubled and infuential guitarist Roy Buchanan's 'Live In Japan' album, dating from 1977

Buchanan paid his dues as a sidesman for Dale Hawkins ('Suzie Q') and Ronnie Hawkins, before coming a respected session musician as well as a band member with Danny Denver.

His style of picking, wah-wah, tone and just the way he played his Telecaster made him a highly infuential guitarist, and this style and playing led him infuencing musicians as diverse as Gary Moore, Jeff Beck and Nils Lofgren.
