American country singer- songwriter and fddle player Roselea Arbana Maddox (1925-1998) was the lead singer with the Maddox Brothers before she embarked on a successful solo career playing a stylised blended of hillbillymusic, rockabilly, and gospel. The Maddox Brothers group broke up in 1957, but that didn't stop
Rose's career. In fact, she had fourteen hits on the Billboardcountry singles chart between 1959 and 1964. Her biggest hit, 'Sing a Little Song of Heartache', (included here as a bonus) reached #3 on the country chart at the end of 1962.
