Ray Charles was one of the true pioneers of soul music

He played the Montreux Jazz Festival on a number of occasions but probably his fnest concert there was this one from 1997. Supported by his orchestra, under the direction of Al Jackson, and of course accompanied by the wonderful Raelettes, he delivers magical performances of many of his popular tracks including Shadows Of My Mind, Busted, Georgia On My Mind, Angelina and I Can't Stop Loving You.
