Aaron J's Sure Thing label has always prized quality over quantity, with just ten EPs arriving over the last seven years. This latest is the product of plenty of new musical connections formed with artists all over the world, starting with Prieste5s's deft and cubby broken beats on 'Entheogenesis'. Liso's 'Biopt' is more urgent and intense, with a hyper-speed synth rumbling at the centre of a haunting techno atmosphere. Ilayruni's 'Driftwood' is eerie, empty and cavernous deep techno, while the flip side is just as light-touch but darkly absorbing, with slithering rhythms and wispy motifs all creating a post-human soundscape.
