● Poté (Sylvern Mathurin) is St. Lucian-born, London-bred and Paris based, electronic artist, due to release his forthcoming album “A Tenuous Tale Of Her” which marks the debut album release for Bonobo’s OUTLIER imprint.
● First single ‘Young Lies’ features Damon Albarn of Blur and Gorillaz and will be accompanied by an official video featuring Damon and will follow the theatrical theme.
● The album also features Canadian musician Pierre Kwenders and South London artist INFAMOUSIZAK who was included in The NME 100: Essential new artists for 2020.
● A record that’s tough, tender and grand all at once, the connections he’s built along the way speaks to the variety of his influences: with connections from Lisbon’s kuduro-fused Enchufada label, to Benji B and Damon Albarn.
● Channelled through an imagined theatrical performance with a pre-apocalyptic setting, Poté raises the curtain on a more vulnerable, open side to his music, a theme which also leans into the creative direction behind his record.
● Poté has supported Bonobo on tour in Europe as well as singer and drummer Georgia in the UK.
● Played previous festivals including The Great Escape, Park Life, All Points East and Dour.
● Headline shows in London, Paris, Brussels, Milan, Prague and more.
● Incredible closing set at LA CRÉOLE in Montreuil, France for Boiler Room.
● Poté has formally created remixes for the likes of Gorillaz’ ‘Trans’ and Little Dragon’s ‘Hold On’.
