Cybernetic disco maestro Cowley died in 1982 but his legacy lives on, not least in part because Dark Entries has done a fine job unearthing his rarities. This project began in 2009 and now completes a trilogy that includes 2022's Male Box and 2024's From Behind. Hard Ware's ten tracks come on CD here and are packed with funk and synthpop in honour of what would have been his 75th birthday. It's a real doozy with the demo 'Tech-No,' cheeky vocal cuts like 'Pajama Party Massacre,' club chuggers such as 'Jungle Jump' and the prophetic closing hymn 'Ice Age' sung by Peggy Gibbons. The release includes Gwenael Rattke circuitboard artwork and liner notes by Andrew Ryce and Gibbons to make it another vital one from Dark Entries.
