Omar Rios is a Nicaraguan guitarist and composer living in London. He started playing the guitar at 11 years old and has played in several countries throughout a 15-year career, including Nicaragua, Colombia, Russia, the United States, Belgium, Spain, Costa Rica, Honduras, and the UK. His music is influenced by flamenco, rock, jazz, fusion, and Latin American music, among many others.
His first album release in the UK is called ‘Aurora’ released on 1st March and contains a selection of original compositions recorded at The Fish Factory in London with a select group of musicians, including an exquisite version of Stevie Wonder’s ‘Cause We’ve ended As Lovers’ written for Jeff Beck who performed it regularly at his shows. Omar will be performing with his band at Pizza Express Soho on 5th March and a number of other shows to promote the album.
