Nick Jonah Davis is a guitarist, composer and sound engineer based in Derbyshire. His music draws primarily on British and American folk traditions. ‘House of Dragons’ is Nick Jonah Davis’ third album. Originally released by Lancashire and Somerset as a limited edition LP in 2015, it was issued by Thread Recordings on CD in 2016. It preceded his fourth and most recent album, 'When the Sun Came’ (Thread Recordings, 2020), and followed ‘Of Time of Tides’ (Tompkins Square, 2011) and 'Guitar Recordings Vol. 1' (2009).
The album was produced by fellow guitarist Cam Deas at the Roundhouse, London, and mixed and mastered by Peter Fletcher. 'The Illumination of Nelson Fortune' features C Joynes on banjo and balaphon, and Karl Townsend of didgeridoo.
