Formed by Pete Byrne (vocals) and Rob Fisher (keyboards) in Bath, England, the duo gained success with their synth- driven sound and melodic hooks. Their self- titled debut album was released in 1983 and features the US Top 40 singles 'Promises, Promises', 'When The Lights Go Out', and 'Always Something There To Remind Me'.

Newly remastered by Phil Kinrade at AIR Mastering, the set features a plethora of bonus tracks, with remixes by the legendary producer Jellybean (including a version of 'Promises, Promises' with additional vocals by Madonna), previously unreleased demos, and B- sides from the era. Housed in a 4- panel digisleeve with a 12- page booklet featuring new notes by Pete Byrne.

Despite Fisher's passing in 1999, Byrne has continued to perform under the Naked Eyes name and is touring the US throughout 2025.
