London based musician, producer, DJ and broadcaster Nabihah Iqbal makes a return with long awaited second album DREAMER due for release in April via Ninja Tune. The album is an intimate journey through snapshots and memories of Nabihah’s life, exploring personal identity and grief. With two years in the making, and since her critically acclaimed previous album Weighing of the Heart, her profile has been building with DJing, curating, teaching, composing and engaging with the art world.

Nabihah continues to be respected by peers in the creative and music scene. This year she has been appointed as Guest Director of Brighton Festival 2023, England's largest multi-arts festival, her “biggest, most challenging and exciting curatorial position” to date. Prior to that she also collaborated with artist Zhang Ding, was commissioned to compose music for the Turner Prize, collaborated with Wolfgang Tillmans as part of his Tate Modern exhibition, was involved in a group performance at the Barbican as
part of its major Basquiat retrospective and contributed to Serpentine's recent book '140 Artists' ideas for Planet Earth' to name a few.

Fantastic reviews in print for Weighing of the Heart from The Guardian, The Observer, MOJO and Loud and Quiet, with the former two awarding the album ★★★★. Nabihah has garnered huge critical acclaim from the likes of The Guardian, Pitchfork, Dazed, The Observer, Time Out, Rolling Stone India, Q Magazine, Mixmag, Vogue India, British Vogue, NME, DJ Mag, DIY. FACT Magazine, Wonderland Magazine, British Council, The FADER, Crack Magazine and Vinyl Factory to name a few.

Since 2013 Nabihah has hosted a bi-weekly show on NTS Radio and has been presenting across BBC networks including Radio 1, 1Xtra, Radio 4, Asian Network, World Service and 6 Music. Weighing of the Heart was selected as Huw Stephens’ Record of The Week with daily spins on BBC Radio 1, supported strongly by Giles Peterson, Lauren Laverne and Radcliffe & Maconie on BBC 6Music, Monki, Toddla T, Jamz Supernova, Zane Lowe, Radio X, BBC Radio Wales and more.

Nabihah is currently an artist-in-residence at London’s iconic cultural institution, Somerset House, which is where she wrote and recorded her new album. She has toured extensively around the world, both as a live act and as a DJ. Highlights include the Tate Britain, Barbican, Victoria & Albert Museum (London), K11 Art Institute (Shanghai), MoMA PS1 (NYC), Synthposium (Moscow), the Elbphilharmonie (Hamburg), Inner Varnika festival (Aus) and SXSW (Austin, TX), Glastonbury Festival, Warehouse Project, Brixton Academy (alongside Max Cooper and LTJ Bukem), Printworks, Boiler Room, Worldwide Festival, Bestival, Sonar, and many more.
