Sweden's Cari Lekebusch should need no introduction, given his long time in the trenches as a techno architect with credits on top labels like Missile, Planet Rhythm & his own Hybrid. Under the Mystic Letter K alias, however, he operates somewhere altogether different and, frankly, it's brilliant. This double pack is tribal, hypnotic and deeply functional electro built on constantly shifting patterns that nudge you toward tranced-out altered states without ever losing the dancefloor. 'Penumbra' beings with crispy, snappy drum patterns and otherworldly melodies, and things stay trippy from there: 'Self Repair' is funky drumming with a menacing undercurrent, 'Tree Of Efil' is liquid dub and cyborg electro and 'Occulimus' is dank broken beat dripping with threat.
