'Sketches of Spain' was Miles Davis' and Gil Evans' third conceptual album and includes Evans' superb arrangement of Joaquin Rodrigo's 'Concierto de Aranjuez'. Down Beat reviewer Bill Mathieu gave the album fve stars, stating that it is "one of the most important musical triumphs that this century has yet produced." 'Sketches of Spain' remains among the best-selling albums in Davis' extensive discography to this day.
