Alessandro Meroli is an Italian multi-intrumentalist and composer who performed and collaborated with a moltitude of artists in almost any music fields. "Notturni" is a record where he can finally infuse all his experience, a work imbued with nocturnal atmospheres, rarified and crepuscular. From Duke Ellington to David Axelrod, from Bernard Herrmann to Pink Floyd, Jazz, electronica, psychedelia and oriental scents accompany us along the winding streets of the night and the unconscious. A layered sound with composite rhythms that blend acoustic drums and drum machines, textural pianos and synthesizers, with wind sections melodies and metallic dissonances that jostle with each other. This is floating, cinematic music attempting to make the dream come true and transpose it into sound.
