Italian selector and long-time house devotee Kikko Esse makes his first outing on the Four Framed Music label and shows craft, with funk and soul running alongside nods to Chicago, deep house and fresh Detroit swing. 'Solo Imperiale' kicks things off with those warm Rhodes chords and a rolling bassline that just locks in. Rick Wade steps in on remix duties and does exactly what you'd hope with dusty, loose, deep drums. 'Echoes of The Tribe' pulls in a more earthy and spiritual direction and Trinidadian Deep closes things out with a dub-leaning remix, thick with sub-bass. Super stuff.
