In An Iris Crackled Like Eyelids, Jules Négrier explores two movements, two inner moments separated by the suspended time of an eyelid ‘crackling’. The first movement begins as a story ends, with a release of raw emotions, then blossoms into a broad surface of harmonic divergences. The second movement reintroduces a crossover of rhythms, torsions, descents and ascents to reveal a paradoxical space that unfolds in the time of an unresolved pacification. Inspiredly and intricately exposing sounds that are both diaphanous and tortuous, Jules Négrier composes a mysterious music, a music that draws from the torments of electronic matter forms and becomings that gradually gain ground in the regions of simplicity.

In All Solids Melt Into Aether, Maria W Horn weaves together chords created using an organ pushed to its limits with the relentless textures of computer-generated sounds.
