Cat. no: 5134JS
Release Date: 12th March 2021
“Tendu”: expressive music of the trio “Jarry Singla EASTERN FLOWERS”, which is based on Indian influences as well as on different kinds of Jazz, but also on personal experiences.
The trio Jarry Singla EASTERN FLOWERS consists of pianist Jarry Singla, bassist Christian Ramond and percussionist Ramesh Shotham. All three have Indian roots, but cannot be fixed or limited to them.
The common music of the three passionate narrators is based on Indian influences as well as on jazz of American and European origin, but above all on personal experiences and adventures. The band, which has been active for ten years, does not need slogans or slogans for its intercultural dialogue, but trusts fully in the expressive and narrative power of music.
A multitude of European and Indian instruments are used to weave a carpet of intentions that is as dense as it is unconventional, and which eliminates all contrasts between the foreign and the own, the distant and the near, the private and the communal.
The special mood on “Tendu” is based on trust and mutual curiosity, which the three musicians have towards each other - a manifesto of the three people Jarry Singla, Christian Ramond and Ramesh Shotham, which becomes so universal precisely because it is so personal.
