Rawax continues to explore the exemplary back catalogue of first-wave UK deep house artist Fresh 'N' Low, a project spearheaded by the talented and effervescent Calum Walker. Originally released in 2000 on i! Records, this now remastered two-tracker was one of the first Walker produced under the alias following the departure of original collaborators David Robertson and Julian Dombinski. With its rolling deep house drums, ultra-warm bass, soulful vocal samples, rich organs and heady Rhodes chords, 'Burnin' Love' remains one of the most on-point cuts in Walker's fine catalogue - the kind of record that would be appreciated as much in the East Midlands as San Francisco. 'Ain't No Ceiling', meanwhile, is a more sensitive, dreamy and musically expansive affair that nevertheless retains Walker's trademark thickset bass and loved-up sensibility.
