Jahandar Hamidieh is a multimedia artist and musician based in Santa Cruz, California and is the mind behind the Fields of Mist project that will already be familiar to long-time Ilian Tape fans. Now landing on the ITX Series, he begins with the sort of ambient that soundtracks the dawn of a new day full of spring promise. Things head into more cosmic soundscapes on the deep, dubby, rolling 'Masters Of The Known Universe!' Then dusty, glitchy electro defines 'Alien Lifeforms'. The flip side carries you on gently broken beats on 'The Lazurite Closer' and more warm Detroit waves on 'Intergalactic Rose.' There is a beauty and a striking sense of emotion to all five of these cuts, no matter the pace.
