In a world awash with AI slop, here is the antidote. Written and recorded over five years in a Belfast home studio, ffolliott’s debut album Gree leaves the hiss, crackle and instability of life intact - pairing a deeply personal record with decades of artwork and sketches from his late father’s archive.  

Released via Kitto Records, Gree is built from vinyl samples, analogue equipment, and intimate guitar with vocals laced with fragments of childhood memory. The album also features unexpected contributions from Grammy Award winning artist Kaidi Tatham. Gree is just the second release from the idiosyncratic artist ffoliott, following IDKWHY, which was released quietly as part of Rhythm Section's Shouts 2021 compilation, and went on to garner millions of streams and support from tastemakers across KCRW, NTS and BBC Radio.

The album moves through memories of childhood, family life and moments spanning from the 90s to the present day. Rather than following a single narrative, Gree shifts between different periods and perspectives, with a particular focus on the things that happen behind closed doors: what is heard through wals, left unsaid or overheard. 

ffolliott (pronounced faw-lee-ott) is the producer alias and middle name of a refreshingly independent and idiosyncratic producer from Belfast. Hailing from a musical family, ffolliott has been quietly working on Gree in his home studio almost daily for the last 5 years. Previous support for his music includes Anthony Valadez and Novena Carmel on KCRW, Moxie, System Olympia and Tarsza on NTS, and Sian Eleri on BBC Radio 1. His music has also been selected for Burberry in-store playlists and events
