Sharp's musicalcareer spans over 50 years and has encompassed innovative approaches to opera, symphonic and chamber music, rock, noise, NoWave, jazz, and improvised music. 'Phlogiston' as a record title is aptly named after a substance supposed by 18th-century chemists to exist in all combustible bodies. Its explosively inventive sound coming all from electronic sources programmed and played by Sharp.
