Elli Acula steps forward with New Day, her long-awaited debut solo EP on fabric Originals. Across four tracks, the Berlin-based DJ, producer and label head channels different moments and emotions from the dancefloor into a record that moves instinctively between darkness and euphoria, vulnerability and raw physical energy.
Having established herself through acclaimed releases and an extensive international touring career, Elli Acula has also long shaped her own musical world through her labels and platforms, including SPANDAU20, CROWD and Euphoria Sessions. New Day marks a new chapter in her work as a producer and her first full solo EP.
Without You brings together a driving acid line and hypnotic rhythms with emotive vocals, creating a track that feels equally powerful and vulnerable on the dancefloor. New Day carries a sense of renewal and forward motion, balancing strength with a lighter, more uplifting energy. Right Now builds towards an expansive, emotional break that opens up the dancefloor before stripping back into a raw, minimal warehouse-driven drop, while The Rhythm moves into darker, more rigorous territory, drawing on techno’s heritage through stripped-back rhythms, atmospheric textures and shimmering metallic tones that give the track an eerie yet luminous quality. Together, the four tracks capture distinct moments and emotions from Elli Acula‘s experiences on the dancefloor, each with its own character but shaped by the same intuitive approach.
The EP will be followed by Elli Acula’s first-ever hardware-only live performance at fabric London on 14 November, bringing this new chapter of her music to the stage for the first time.
“I never planned these tracks. I just couldn’t leave those feelings on the dancefloor. They found their way into my music, instinctively. Each track holds a different moment from the past few years, the darkness, the euphoria and everything I couldn’t quite put into words.”
