Swiss house and techno perfectionist Deetron is back on Ilian Tape, having landed here last year with his 'Code' EP under the Soulmate alias. He returns to that project with four more sophisticated workouts for body and mind. 'Winter' fizzes with icy percussive layers and Detroit pads over cheeky drum loops that lock you in the moment. 'Sequence' is fast, buoyant and bouncy and another unresolved groove that traps you where you are and keeps you there. There is more of an edge to 'Madness', which powers onwards with insistent synth loops and delicate hi-hats dancing over the cavernous groove. 'Nitrobeats' closes with broken kick patterns that hit like constant one-twos from a master boxer.
