Public Library, the album by Canadian indie rock/folk rock band The Burning Hell was released in 2016, and has been sold out for several years. Now it returns as a limited edition coloured LP. Public Library was another high point in surreal humour, virtuosic wordplay wrapped in smart indie rock songs.

"Literary genres translated into indie pop.... enchanting. Actually, they are humorous short stories full of curious twists that Mathias Kom tells in his songs. With a growling baritone reminiscent of Calvin Johnson (Beat Happening), the singer of the Canadian band The Burning Hell takes on the treasures of public libraries. ... The highlight is the romantic comedy "Fuck The Government, I Love You", an enchanting confluence of puns reminiscent of the best US sitcoms and the tender indie pop of Belle And Sebastian. Ariel Sharratt sets some particularly beautiful accents with her voice and her clarinet..." - ROLLING STONE

"The wordy songsmith behind Canadian quintet The Burning Hell, Mathias Kom has a dry wit and sharp eye that elevate routine indie-rock tunes into offbeat storytelling treats" - UNCUT UK live dates 2023>>
