Detroit Vinyl. Two words to get any serious house and techno lover excited, and now also the name of a new label that kicks off with an EP from US talents Steingold & Brian Kage. As the name of the opener, 'Gremlins', suggests, this is freaky late-night tackle (and also features samples from the movie.) Musically, it is amped up, piano-laced, acid-charged house for hands-in-the-air moments. The electro mix reworks the rhythm with pining bass and snappy snares, kinetic kicks and more squelchy pads. Lastly, the Dub Tech mix is a calming, deeper sound for wallowing in the liquid pads and soaking up some pure machine soul.
