Gladio Operations marks its 13th release with a fresh five-tracker from Spanish electro pioneer Boris Divider. Divider is well known for shaping Spain's early electro scene via his Drivecom label and heads back to more dancefloor-oriented sounds here following some fine forays into experimental IDM. Opener 'Content Location' brings sharp arpeggios and thick basslines as well as textbook electro vocoders, while the title track 'In Fragments' slows the tempo for a more introspective mood. On the B-side, 'Dynamic Algorithm' is dark and driving, 'Fragmented' explores ambient tension and 'Memories of Us' closes the EP with dreamy arps and moody textures. A refined return to form.
