 The essence of the duo formed by pianist Bill Laurance and bassist and oud player Michael League - say a lot with very little, a concept that, through two albums released to date and acclaimed concerts - has earned them a following that, for once, truly deserves to be called ‘cult’.
 Both are core members of five-time GRAMMY-winning collective Snarky Puppy, and each has a rapidly growing fanbase.
 Twenty years of collaboration and friendship, at its most exposed. ‘Close to Home’ is the duo in its purest form: “Simple, exposed and raw,” in their own words. You hear the musicians breathing, the strings of the oud, the mechanism of the grand piano and birdsong drifting in from the garden between the notes. Many of the pieces were written at night, between 2:00 and 5:00AM.
 CD in six-page digipack.
 Deluxe ‘Edition Palmer IV’ fine linen-covered vinyl box including bonus ‘encores’ 7” vinyl (‘Solo Oud’, ‘What You Want’ and ‘Solo Piano’), 180g vinyl LP, 16-page booklet featuring liner notes by Christophe Loubes, personal notes from the musicians, photographs by Letizia Le Fur, hand-signed fine art print of Bettina Blohm’s cover artwork ‘Blue Square, printed on 300 g/m² Tintoretto Gesso paper.
 LP on 180g vinyl in hardcover sleeve with digital download code.
