AURA NOIR'S 2008 OPUS OF SAVAGE BLACKENED THRASH PRESENTED ON MID-PRICE CD INCLUDING RARE BONUS TRACKS AND ON LIMITED RED VINYL.

Norway's Aura Noir was formed in 1993 by Aggressor (Ved Buens Ende, exDodheimsgard, as well as Ulver & Satyricon in their formative years) & Apollyon (Cofn Storm, ex-Dodheimsgard, ex-Immortal)

In pursuit of a more thrash-based form of black metal than what was coming out at the time - particularly in their homeland - bands such as Slayer, Sodom & Kreator were cited as inspirations along with purveyors of the scene such as Venom, for a dirtier, stripped down, violent black/ thrash metal sound. The core trio was completed by Blasphemer, formerly of fellow Norwegian legends Mayhem, as well as being current mainman in his recently established band, Ruim.

The band's frst ofcial release was the 'Dreams Like Deserts' EP on Hot Records, & from there-on Aura Noir became a truly cult act, releasing a string of albums among ongoing live performances over the subsequent decades.

Following Aura Noir's revered 2004 album 'The Merciless' (the debut release on Tyrant Syndicate, Darkthrone's Peaceville imprint at the time), 'Hades Rise' was recorded primarily as a duo, & pushed the bar ever further for savage dirty rifng, embracing the spirit of the old masters to serve up a new platter of iconic hyperspeed thrashing madness.

Self-produced in Apollyon's cellar studio, the album contains guest appearances from

Danny Coralles (Autopsy), & Blasphemer supplies additional guitar solos on this release.

'Hades Rise' was mastered by Jaime Gomez Arellano at Orgone Studios.

This limited red vinyl edition of 'Hades Rise' includes the extra track 'Cut- Throat', originally by metal legends Bulldozer.
