Patience is the virtue shown throughout Kaizen, the solo debut from Almost Silent aka French sound artist Guy Teixeira. Built entirely from analogue and modular synthesis, it's a record that unfolds through 14 meditative pieces where drones, tape hiss and distant harmonies move slowly but with an all-consuming pull. 'Bright Light' rises from granular fog into dense harmonic waves, while 'Tough Things' drifts with restrained dub echoes. Later, 'Shoshin' introduces a fragile piano theme surrounded by gathering bass weight. The closing 'Legacy' settles into wintry stillness. Teixeira shapes a reflective atmosphere where subtle shifts gradually reveal quiet emotional depth at every turn.
