 In the Autumn of 2022, French jazz vibraphonist Alexis Valet followed the sun, from East to West, and embarked on a trip to New York.
 After three months playing there, jamming and absorbing as much music as possible, he decided to record an album, ‘Following the Sun’, that encapsulates his experience in the Big Apple.
 Surrounded by a high-flying team, bringing together saxophonist Dayna Stephens, pianist Aaron Parks, double bassist Joe Martin and drummer Kush Abadey, Alexis did not flinch, drawing from his sporting past the resources to give the best of himself and demonstrate that he is among the new masters of his instrument.
 A metaphor for his adventure, ‘Following the Sun’, anchored in the heart of current jazz, sounds like a quest for this light which allows all living beings to grow and develop, and which we could otherwise call inspiration.
