The era is one of change, of “singing tomorrows”, and its allure promises crazy tomorrows. Alain Bashung, could have capitalized on this hard-won success, however, he took another course. He caught the eye of the Spanish playwright Fernando Arrabal, and composed the music for his play, to experiment with his band The use of drum machines and a synthesizer, the stripped down sound dressed in oblique guitars, this constituted the perfect soundtrack of the time.
