The Bern-based artist Afi ‘Sika’ Kuzeawu is releasing her debut album, ‘Nubu’. The rhythmic influences from Sika’s homeland Togo can be found in her compositions. Sika’s music combines rhythms, harmonies, melodies and texts in a subtle way into an easily accessible and profound unit that enriches the genre of ‘ethnic jazz’ with new facets.
