 Eminent producer Darren Cunningham - AKA Actress - has always pushed the boundaries of electronic music, blending club-focused energy with abstract, cerebral and atmospheric sounds, exploring avant-garde compositions and Musique Concrète within the context of underground dance.
 Over 20 years, Cunningham has pioneered Black British avant-garde music. ‘Radical Frame’ is the apotheosis of his career thus far, embodying his signature sounds, as well as passing the torch to the next generation of artists. Enlisting creative direction from Anna Van der Velde and rybskie, ‘Radical Frame’ is bold and thought-provoking, interspersed throughout with elements of Actress’ signature satirical humour.
 Actress recently released a live album of his collaborative ‘Concréte Waves’ project with the visionary electronic music composer Suzanne Ciani, via his Werk Discs imprint. The pair toured the show across 2025 and 2026, with shows at Barbican, Sónar Festival, Venice Biennale, Variations Festival Nante, Rewire Festival (The Hague) and more.
 Actress’s influence has extended far beyond electronic music, inspiring collaborations with iconic fashion houses and art collectives, such as the Grey Interiors audiovisual installation with art collective Actual Objects, Patta x Nike’s 4 part film by Mahaneela and Steve McQueen, being interviewed for the BBC documentary ‘Dark Matter: A History of the Afrofuture’ and collaborating with Acne, Cav Empt and Braindead, as well as being photographed by Turner Prize winner Wolfgang Tillmans and the late celebrated portrait photographer Lord Snowden.
 Radical Frame features vocals from CASISDEAD (single ‘Live By You’) and Rainy Miller, adding to a long list of impeccable collaborations across Actress’s career, with the likes of The London Contemporary Orchestra (LAGEOS), Sampha (‘Walking Flames’), Jonnine Standish, Zsela, Laura Groves and Aura T-09, remixing tracks for Kelis, Daniel Avery, LEYA, Kelsey Lu & Yves Tumor, Carmen Villain, Perfume Genius, Tirzah and many more, as well as appearing on John Cale’s acclaimed ‘Mercy’.
 Cunningham has previously toured with James Blake, performing at Alexandra Palace plus stops in Tokyo, Paris, Milan, Berlin, and Brussels. Performing on Glastonbury’s IICON stage 2023.
 This year he headlines EartH Theatre as part of Pitchfork Music Festival London, following performances at We Out Here and DEKMANTEL.
