These are our terms and conditions and our privacy statement. Please read them fully.
We have created our privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to your confidentiality. All information remains with Horizons Music and is not passed on to any other company.
Who We Are
The www.horizonsmusic.co.uk website is operated by Horizons Music, a company registered in England and Wales.
Horizons Music is dedicated to providing our fans with a friendly and efficient online shopping experience to support the label and which provides value for money. Our team is completely dedicated to your total satisfaction; customer service is key. If you have any suggestions or comments please email us at email@example.com
Our site uses an enquiry form for customers to request information, products and services. We collect contact information such as your e-mail address etc. All information remains confidential with Horizons Music and is not passed on to any other company. By establishing a Horizons Music account and each time you make a purchase through our site, you grant permission for Horizons Music to contact you at your email address and or telephone number regarding the purchase. Horizons Music collects personal information from you in an effort to market to you more effectively, facilitate your purchases and offer a more personalised online experience.
Our site provides visitors with the opportunity to opt-out of receiving information from us by sending an e-mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org Our newsletters will be every two weeks, for more uptodate information please follow our facebook page.
These are determined by what you order and your delivery address. We try and package your orders in as few parcels as possible, so we have a base rate, which takes care of your initial item, packing, handling and shipping, and then each individual item added as added at a fraction of that initial shipping cost.
We try and be as fair as possible so that our shipping costs are as low as they can be but still you will receive a quality and timely service. All individual vinyl orders come with a stiffener. Shipping prices will be calculated as you add items to your basket.
Shipping: Delivery and timescales
When you order has been completed you will receive an email receipt confirming your horizons store purchase. If an order is received before 5pm we aim to ship that same day. If your order contains a preorder item, or an item we are waiting for stock then complete order will be shipped as soon as all items are in.
Once your order has been packed, it will be collected by the UK’s postal service – Royal Mail – who collect from our warehouse, daily Monday - Saturday. All UK orders are sent by First, Second class or tracked mail, as selected when you place your order with us. Orders from Europe and the rest of the world are sent by standard Airmail. Tracking Options are available, please select this option if you require it. Once your order arrives in your country, it is passed to your local postal service, who will deliver it to you in keeping with their standard working processes.
The following is a rough guide to how long your order should take to arrive: UK: 1-3 working days, Europe: 4-7 working days, USA / Canada: 7-14 working days, Rest of world: 7-20 working days, depending on location.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A GUIDE ONLY AND SHOULD NOT BE INTERPRETED AS A GUARANTEE OF DELIVERY TIME. Efficiency does vary between different countries’ postal services. Sometimes delivery can be very quick, sometimes less so. Sometimes parcels can be held up in International customs, at this point there is not a lot we can do, you will receive your parcel but it maybe delayed. We do complete full paperwork our end to attempt to avoid these occurences.
Shipping: Customs and import duty charges
Please note that residents of some countries may have to pay customs or import duty charges on their order. Because these charges are levied by your government and are specific to your country, we cannot tell you how much (if anything) this will be. You are responsible for any customs or import duty charges you may incur. If you choose not to pay these charges, your package will not be released by customs and may be destroyed. In this event, we will be unable to offer you a refund. UK and EU residents will not have to pay any customs or import duties.
All goods offered are subject to availability and Horizons Music reserves the right to withdraw any item without notice. Occasionally we will sell out of an item of stock and may receive orders before we are able to update the website. If you order an item that is out of stock we will inform you as soon as possible with a view to a refund or an alternative item. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Shipping: Lost orders?
If you haven’t received your order and it has been marked as dispatched then please contact us by emailing email@example.com with your order number in the subject field. We consider and order lost if it has been received by you within 28 days from the date it was posted to you, this is inline with Royal Mail’s standard compensation.
In the event that you don’t receive this item after this time period has passed we will deem it as lost and will provide you with a replacement order or a full refund whichever is your preference.
How to cancel an order
If you would like to cancel your order, please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as you can. We do process orders within 5 working days after the order is made, so please contact us as close to making your order as possible or your item(s) may have already been dispatched.
Returns and refunds
If for any reason you are unsatisfied about any product and wish to return it to us, please let us know first! It’s really important that we have happy customers so we will endeavor to resolve all issues. If for any reason you do need to return an item email us and we will together then decide what the best course of action should be; whether it be an exchange or a full refund.
All goods that are sent out are thoroughly checked before dispatched to you. If you find goods to be fault again contact us for advice. We may ask you to return the goods for inspection. If this is necessary please include a note with your name and address along with the reason for return and any requests or comments. Wrap the parcel securely and return to us, we will give you our mailing address and a returns complaint reference. We suggest using Royal Mail Recorded delivery to send the goods. We cannot accept responsibility for goods lost in transit to us. If a refund is made we shall endeavour to refund within 30 days. Any faulty goods will need to be inspected by the manufacturer before we take any action. If you have any queries or questions please Email us email@example.com
Digital Download Technical Support
If you have ordered a digital download, your download will become active as soon as payment has been processed and you can download your files using the download link within your shopping cart. You will have 3 tries in which to download something from your download link per item, after which the link will expire. If you experience problems downloading your files please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will re-activate your download links. If your downloaded files are corrupt or unusable, please contact us to let us know on email@example.com and we will rectify the problem straight away.
Our MP3 downloads are 320kbps continuous bit rate files. Our WAV downloads are 44.1khz 16-bit WAV files. WAV files are the original lossless master files of all of our tracks and mixes. The MP3s are encoded from these master WAVs at 320kbps at a continuous bit rate.
Security, Payment and Privacy
Your security is extremely important to us. We do not store debt / credit card information at Horizons Music, this is dealt with by our very secure online payment gateway Sage Pay, who are the UK's most recommended payment gateway service provider, http://www.sagepay.com. We also offer paypal as method of payment.
You confirm that the credit/debit card that is being used is yours. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment, or us or our authorised agents are unable to contact your card issuer, Horizons Music will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery and we are not obliged to inform you of the refusal. Horizons Music are not responsible for your card issuer or bank charging you as a result of our processing of your credit/debit card payment. You further confirm that all account details supplied by you when you order goods are true and accurate.
