Zëro was formed in 2006 from the ashes of Bästard and Deity Guns (1989-1993, and an album, "Trans-Lines Appointment" produced by Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth in 1992) and released a first album on Ici d'ailleurs in 2007. Virginie Despentes is a French writer, director, occasional translator and lyricist. She first came to prominence with her novel Baise-moi (1994), which she later co-directed into a film (2000). Her biggest success to date is the Vernon Subutex trilogy published between 2015 and 2017, which has been adapted into a TV series and a comic book. She is a member of the Goncourt Academy.
