"Iconic", released in 2020, is the debut album of the three electronic musicians Johannes Schmoelling, Kurt Ader and Robert Waters 

Johannes Schmoelling we all know and love from his time with Tangerine Dream (1979 - 1985) and a number of excellent solo albums like "Wuivend Riet" or "White Out" he released over the last decades, as well as his numerous soundtracks for flm, TV and theater productions. Keyboardist, producer and sound mixer Robert Waters is JS' partner in the LOOM project, while keyboardist and sound designer Kurt Ader (who also works for artists and bands such as Nightwish, Söhne Mannheims or Michael Cretu) is the third member of the team.

Ader, still relatively new to the EM scene, is considered a "sound guru" who, in addition to many major keyboard manufacturers, also develops the hot sounds for many well-known keyboardists, producers and studios from around the world, including Johannes Schmoelling. Ader's own musical style is quite broad, but at its core he tends towards idols like Jean Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Vangelis and a whole lot more in between, so he fts to the Schmoelling / Waters musical ethos perfectly. S.A.W say...: "We used hardware, analog synthesizers and digital equipment - We accepted unpredictable and uncontrollable coincidences in the operation of historical instruments - We cultivated electronic traditions to create new ones - We paid homage to the legends and then we started "Iconic".
