cv313 make a fine debut on the Modern Cathedrals label here with a deep-as-you-like new single that comes with mixes by Stephen Hitchell and Uun. The original is deepest dubbiest techno from the very depths of the Mariana Trench. Sonic flotsam drifts by as delicate rays of light pierce the surface and a gentle rhythm sweeps you along the ocean floor. The Drifting Deeper dub manages to be even more spare with lots of lo-fi synth texture. The Sound Thru Color dub brings back some slow-motion drums and plenty of deft details then the Variant Etherscope is another tense and dense ambient piece. A heady EP.
