Musicasion was a series of collective shows by a group of artists, mixing theatrical elements, poetry, improvised stage effects, and music, with a special blend of rock, candombe (the percussion- driven style created in Uruguay among the descendants of liberated African slaves), tango, jazz and bossa nova.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe masterminds behind the concept were the great singer, songwriter \u0026amp; composer Eduardo Mateo, and his friend Horacio Buscaglia, a poet, actor and theatre director. Four different Musicasion productions were staged in 1969 featuring musicians from Mateo's band El Kinto, and a host of other artists.
